SURGE, mulimedia theatre performance

SURGE is a site-specific video mapping and dance performance set in the cistern of Bussana Vecchia.

The theatrical association TEATRO CARILLON, in collaboration with Studio W+J and Redeemade, has revived the former cistern of Bussana Vecchia an International Artist Village in Sanremo (IM).

SURGE, derived from the Latin “wake up!”, seeks to encourage breaking resistance to new artistic endeavors and embracing dynamic creative processes. It is a call to awaken, to work for the well-being of the artist community, and to support innovative artistic activities.

The performance employs Kinect technology and explores an interactive dialogue between dance and video mapping, utilizing software such as MadMapper and TouchDesigner.
